ABOUT

Brian Negron (born 15 February 1996) is a current male volleyball player out of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He is part of the Puerto Rico Men's National Volleyball Team. Negron recently played collegiate volleyball at George Mason University (2014-2018) in Fairfax, Virginia. As a freshman, Negron was named the EIVA Newcomer of the Year in 2015 and was a named to the First-Team All-EIVA selection that same year. In 2016, Negron helped guide the Patriots to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1988 by defeating Saint Francis in the EIVA Finals. Negron was named Most Valuable Player of that final match. In 2018, Negron was named to the First-Team All-EIVA, while also being recognized as the 2018 Uvaldo Acosta Memorial EIVA Player of the Year.

As a professional player, Negron started his career back at home playing for the Guaynabo Mets in Puerto Rico. The Guaynabo Mets finished with a 12-4 record and managed to defeat the Gigantes de Adjuntas (4-2) in the LVSM finals. For his second contract, Negron signed with Serie A2 Italian Club, Top Volley Lamezia where he is currently playing as their starting setter.
